IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Adam Ross
Pike
February 9, 1982 – December 25, 2023
Adam "Ross" Pike, age 41, of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 and is now at peace with the Lord in his eternal home in Heaven.
Ross was a native of Weaverville and attended North Buncombe High School. One of his most proud achievements was that he became a Wildland Fire Fighter going all over the country fighting wildfires. Later he moved to TN where he graduated from the Knoxville Institute of Hair. Ross was a Master Barber first opening his own shop, Goodfellas, before moving on to work at Big C'S barbershop in Oak Ridge, TN.
He enjoyed being in the shop, building relationships with clients and fellowshipping with other believers in Christ. Ross always tried to make a positive impact on those around him and be an encouragement to others. It deeply touched his heart if he could help someone along life's journey that may be downtrodden. He was part of The Church as a professed believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Ross strove to deepen his knowledge of God's word, he often joined online services at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was an avid listener of the Lion of Judah. He didn't focus on a materialistic life, desiring later in life to someday travel and serve on the mission field. He didn't hesitate to help a friend, co-worker, or stranger in need. Ross loved to make others laugh with his sense of humor. He loved cooking on the smoker grill and doing home projects. He enjoyed creating, whether it was developing his own special mix of rubs for smoking meat, canning his special blend of pickles, or making his own hair gel product for the barber shop. Ross was a supporter of the local Oak Ridge Famer's Market and family-owned businesses.
He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Lynn Pike; grandparents, Marshall J. "Buster" West, and Nellene West, James Lloyd "Jr." Pike and Betty Pike; step-grandfather, Paul R. Roberts; his aunt, Marsha Jean West; and uncles, Bobby, and Danny Pike.
Surviving is his mother, Shelia West Respass, his brothers, Heath Pike and Westley Respass, all of Greenville, SC; his stepmother, Susan Pike of Weaverville, NC; his step-grandmother, Juanita Roberts; several uncles, aunts and cousins; his fiancée, Nikki Watson and her daughter Amora Watson, of whom Ross became a positive, fatherly influence in her life; and his beloved Ava Marie that he treasured. He also loved his dog and loyal companion Obi.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 31, 2023 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Phillip Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
