October 29, 1942 – April 11, 2022
Allie Sue Hollifield Roberts, 79, of Alexander went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2022. She is the daughter of the late Paul and Evelyn Rice Hollifield. Allie is also preceded in death by her husband, Avery Roberts. Allie was a lifelong member of Sexton Freewill Baptist Church. Allie loved all her family, as well as her school bus kids which she looked at as her own children.
Allie is survived by her daughter: Paula Roberts; sisters: Jane Hoyle (Shorty), Mary Ann Rice (Bobby); brother: Earl Hollifield (Rhode); grandchildren: April Roberts, Donna Weston (Gareath); great grandchildren: Summer Griffin (Mitch), Christian Pillay (Laurun), Averi Weston, Louis Weston, Ayanna Weston; great-great grandson: Titus Griffin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 pm in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Kellen Griffin and Jimmy Dean Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Progressive Education at 250A Overlook Road, Asheville, NC – 28803.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Compassionate Care for the loving care they give their mother during her illness.
