AMELIA L. COATES ROBERTS WEAVERVILLE: Amelia L. Roberts, 68, of 120 Old Eller Ford Rd., died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late William Finley and Dorothy Roberts Coates. She is survived by husband William Roberts; sisters Joyce Fender and husband Jerry, Pat Roberts and husband Rick all of Asheville; brothers Jerry Coates and wife Sandra of Weaverville, Sam Coates and wife Donna of Reidsville, NC; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 14 at Oak Grove Baptist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Phillip Parker will officiate. The burial will follow in the Ashelawn Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Monday, June 13, at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill. At other times the family will be at the home of Joyce Fender, 605 Aiken Rd., Asheville.
