Andrew Jackson "Boots" Landers, Jr., age 88, passed away on Tuesday August 8, 2023. Boots was born on September 17, 1934, in Madison County to the late Andrew Jackson Landers, Sr and Margaret Kistler Landers.

Boots was a US Navy Korean veteran; upon returning home, he worked as a mechanic, and then was self-employed as a construction contractor and equipment operator. He loved NASCAR racing, antique cars, and all sports. When he wasn't watching the races or sports, Boots would be working in the garage on his cars or sitting on his porch in his recliner, enjoying the company of his best friend, Hoagie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Bordinat; and sister, Mary L. Ramsey.

Boots is survived by a daughter, Sandra McKervey of White Lake, MI; sister, Eloise Roberts of Aiken, SC; 4 grandchildren; 1 niece; 4 nephews; and a special nephew and caregiver, Jimmie Ramsey (Tiawana).

A graveside service will be held at 11am Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Landers Cemetery, Hickory Flats Road, Marshall, NC 28753.
