Annie Faye Gosnell Norton, 71, of 850 Rebel Ridge Rd., passed away December 9,2013. Mrs. Norton was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Herman and Hattie Lee Sanders Gosnell. She was a member of Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Willard Norton, sisters, Georgia Montgomery, Jennie Betts and Agnes Ricker and a brother, Plato Reed. Mrs. Norton is survived by her husband Pastor Willard E. Norton, daughters Terry Morris (Earl) and Debra Gunter (Ricky), son Simon Dewayne Norton (Tina Fowler), sisters Starline Norton, Thelma Fore, Pauline Fowler, Jackie Norton, Mary Rice and Nancy Burgess, brother Bud Gosnell, grandchildren Scott and Robert Cordell, Simon David Norton, Ricky Steven Gunter, Leesa Lynn Gunter, Becky Profitt and Reanna McDevitt, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12:00pm Thursday, December 12, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev Bud Marlor and Rev Paul Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-12:00pm prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to Care Partners of Buncombe County.
