Annie Kate Reems Rice, 90, of Asheville, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Emerald Ridge. She was born in Madison County and resided in Buncombe County since 1946. She was the daughter of the late James and Barbara Reeves Reems. She was the wife of the late Ellis Henry Rice of 54 years and was preceded in death by son, Hillary Rice and brother Glenn Reems. She is survived by her children, Margaret Sluder (Dean), Harlan Rice (Joy), Ellen Walker (James), Unice Roberts (Kenneth) and sister in law Virgie Reems; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 13, 2016 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Lanny Cobb officiating.
