Anthony "Tony" Cogdill, 65, of Weaverville, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025. He was born September 5, 1959 and was a son to Lorene Willis Cogdill and the late Richard "Zorro" Cogdill.

Also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Frank Conley Ballard.

Tony loved fishing and hunting. He was a professional welder and a loving and devoted husband, father and son.

Tony is survived in addition to his loving mother, by his wife, Caryn Ballard Cogdill; daughter, Meagan Cogdill and fiancé Jonathan Mitchell; son, Tyler Cogdill and wife Taylor; sisters, Debbie Rhinehart, and Carolyn Cogdill (Randy Price); brother, Robert "Peewee" Cogdill and wife Darlene; and mother-in-law, Brenda Brank Ballard; sister-in-law, Connie Massey (Mickey); and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverend Steve Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brank Cemetery, Weaverville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
