Anthony Edd Ramsey, 39, passed from this life into eternal rest on September 25, 2021, 2 months from his 40th birthday, at his residence after a short illness. He was born in Mission Hospital on November 25, 1981, to his parents, Edward and Rose Hudson Ramsey, the first of two " tow, headed, little boys". He was always a mama's boy. He would cry when she left the room if he couldn't see her, saying, "I want my mommie". He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Ramsey and daughter, Lola Anne Ramsey, who was named after his great grandmother, Lola Cutshaw; paternal grandparents, Winston and Edna Ramsey; maternal grandparents, John Henry and Ruth Rose Hudson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandy Loyd Ramsey; mother and step-father, Rose and Clayton Rice; sons, Ethen Ramsey, Ray Stines, Silas, Carver, Winston Ramsey and step-son, Daniel Mayhew; brother, Jeffery (Christi); special uncle, Paul Hudson; nephew, Jacob Ramsey; father in law, Sanford Loyd and special friend, Ben Queen.

Anthony was co-owner & manager of J & J. Cab Company. Anthony loved spending time with his family and talking to his cabbie buddies on the phone. He was a loving son, brother, father, husband and friend to many people.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Rice Cove Cemetery. Donations may be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service, PO Box 27 Mars Hill, NC 28754 to assist the family with funeral arrangements.
