July 4, 1932 – November 3, 2017
Auburn "Buzz" Crowder, of 239 Pickens Rd., passed away November 3, 2017 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lesley and Marie Bullman Crowder. Buzz was a hard worker with a strong work ethic which he cultivated throughout his family. He loved the Lord and faithfully attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. He lead by example, loved deeply and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Sue Crowder.
He was faithfully married for 66 years to his loving wife, Stella Maie Rice Crowder. Buzz is also survived by his children, Lawrence Crowder (Brenda), Teresa Proffitt, Eugene Crowder (Judy), Roland Crowder, Edwin Crowder (Marsha), Kimberly Sonneborn (Michael); siblings, Augburn and Cleotes Crowder, Judy Wyatt and Jane Revis; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, special friends, Johnny Waldrup and Dewey Brown,several nieces, nephews and special brother in laws.
A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Phillip Parker, Ronald Roberts, Arnold Revis and Brad Lindsey will officiate. The burial will follow in the Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from1-3:00pm prior to the service.
