Ms. Ava Camby Bass, age 95, passed away on March 5, 2024. Ava was born on January 15, 1929, to the late Jane Hollifield Camby and Wilbur Camby.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bass; and a brother, Calvin Camby.

Ava was a former cook for the Cocke County Sheriffs Dept. in TN. She was a true TN Vols Fan. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and working in her flower bed.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Annette Edwards; sons, Kenneth, Jerry, and Randy Bass; sisters, Billie Gibbons, and Carolyn Williams; and a brother, Kenneth Camby; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

A time of visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Friday March 8, 2024 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service.
