IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bailey Elizabeth Ashton
Yearout
October 13, 1999 – December 26, 2022
Bailey Elizabeth Ashton Yearout, 23, of Weaverville, North Carolina, died Monday, December 26th, 2022, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Although her life was short, Bailey's impact on those around her will be long-lived. She had an unshakable Faith that encouraged others to lean deeper into their relationship with Christ. Through her trust in the Lord, despite her diagnosis, she maintained her joyful spirit and thoughtful care for others. Bailey had a gift for creating family wherever she went. From her church family at Brookstone Church (where she was very active with the college and youth ministries) to her college family at ETSU (where she was getting her Masters in Education to be a math teacher), to the students in her classroom, she brought people together and inspired them to live out their Faith. No matter where she was, her love was felt deeply and remains a part of us forever and always.
She is the beloved daughter of Monica and Jeffery McLeod and Scott Yearout; sibling of Madison and Elijah Yearout (mother is Laura Houston); granddaughter of Larry and Iva Jean Metcalf, Ray and Nancy Yearout; niece of Michelle Metcalf, Kellie (Brent) Kendall, Austin (Jessica) Metcalf, Tina (Wayne) Craig, and Jeremy (Rebecca) Yearout; special great-niece to Sandra (Robert) Snyder; great-granddaughter of Ivan Herron and Dorothy Yearout. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for all who have supported them with food, financial gifts and prayer over the past two years.
There will be a celebration of life held at Brookstone Church on January 14th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks people to honor her with donations to LXI, a special ministry to Bailey in Johnson City, TN. Donations can be made at https://movelxi.com/give-2
