Barbara Ann Phillips Hines, 89, of Mars Hill, passed away Thursday July 14, 2022, at Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Adrian Earl and Doris Hunt Phillips. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Hines and son Michael W. Hines.

Barbara is survived by her daughters: Kathy Hine Horne, Kim Hines Hubbard (John); sister: Mary Lou Tsoleas (Jack); brother: Lynnwood Phillips (Zandra); seven grandchildren: Mary, Becky, John, Matthew, Michael, Amy, Angela and ten grandchildren.

Barbara was a talented seamstress, devoted home maker and excellent cook. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morganton serving as the Librarian at the church. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and was a master gardener. Barbara loved all her pets, neighbors and family dearly.

A private service will be held at a later date.
