Mrs. Barbara Jane Reddick Wallen, 69, of Mars Hill, NC passed away peacefully at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC on Saturday, September 23, 2023. She is the daughter of the late Humphrey and Margareet King Reddick and was born in Yuba City, California. Barbara enjoyed pencil sketching, reading her Bible, and crafts where she lived at Elderberry. She was also preceded in death by her stepson: Jeter Wallin.

Left to cherish her memory are her: husband: Ronald Wallin, a stepdaughter: Rebecca Shelton and her husband Joe, and one brother: John Reddick.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with the Rev. Dalton Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in California Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Wallin family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the funeral on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Elderberry Health Care specifically for craft supplies for future residents to enjoy. Mr. Wallin and his family would like to personally thank the entire staff at Elderberry Health Care for the loving care provided to Barbara while she was a resident there.
