Barbara Gail Anderson Rolen, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 7, 2016, and was reunited with her loving husband, Ronald C. "Sam" Rolen. She is survived by her brother, Richard H. Anderson and his wife Loretta, of Mars Hill, North Carolina, nephews Klay R. Anderson (Marsha), Randy and Steven Rolen, niece Angela Koss and sister-in-law Jane Rolen. Barbara attended Mars Hill College and received her B.S. degree from Western Carolina. She taught second grade at Idlewild and Piney Grove Elementary schools in the Charlotte Mecklenburg System for 30 years. Memorials may be sent to BRUMC at 9135 Blair Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 where Barbara was a long time member and designated for missions. Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home is serving the family in Charlotte and Blue Ridge Funeral Service is serving the family in Mars Hill. There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Rolen at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mars Hill, North Carolina on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 11:30 AM.
