Betty Fox Anderson, 89, of Mars Hill, crossed over Jordon to meet her Lord and Savior, February 14, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Sally Fox. Betty was a resident of Mars Hill most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Phill Anderson; daughter, Sandra Sprinkle (Bobby); son, James; and grandson, Andy Anderson; 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dean Anderson (Ginger), and Mark Anderson (Lisa); daughters, Patricia Ray (David), Peggy Hollifield (Coy Junior), Jeannie Wyatt (H.C.), and Jaynie Tipton (Chris); 24 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and 1 on the way.

Our mother was a Godly woman. "Her children arise up and call her blessed." Proverbs 31:28. She was a praying mother and was never ashamed to kick her shoes off and shout praises to her God. She never worked on a public job. Betty was always there for her children, seeing to their needs and telling them about God. She was a member of Terrys Fork Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday February 18, 2023, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Randy Sprinkle, Bobby Sprinkle and Coy Junior Hollifield will officiate. Interment will follow in Chambers Cemetery on Hamburg Road. Flowers are appreciated. The family will receive friends 5:00pm – 7:00pm Friday, February 17, 2023.
