Betty Blanche Rector Chambers 78 of Hussain Drive went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 8, 2018 at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was the daughter of the late Franklin Fred and Virgie Sprinkle Rector. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Cline Chambers; a son Ronnie Rector; sisters, Wilma Shelton and Faye Rector; brothers, Fred, Frank and Blake Rector. Mrs. Chambers was of strong Christian faith, and a breast cancer survivor for over 30 years. She is survived by her son; Ray Rector (Merita); sisters, Glada Shelton (Buck) and Lorraine Phillips; brother, Terrell Rector (Linda); grandchildren, Megan Rector, Monica Green, Toni Brosnan and Jennifer Robinson; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Monday, June 11, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Clyde Metcalf, Jr. and Don Metcalf will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Weaverville. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 prior to the service.
