Billie Dove Metcalf, 90, of Mars Hill, passed away on December 18, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Dove and Cordellia Boone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, David McKinley Metcalf who died in January 2018; a sister, Elizabeth Boone; and daughters, Sheila Metcalf Sams, Kathy Metcalf Willis, and four infant daughters.

Billie worked for 34 years at Brooks Howell Nursing Home as a nurse.

Ms. Metcalf is survived by her son, Timothy Metcalf of Hendersonville, NC; daughter, Tracy Pressley (Eric) of Mars Hill; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; and mamaw to Rosie Dempsey (Joel).

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 28, 2025, in Old Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Eddie Fox will officiate.
