Billy Briscoe, Sr. age 78 formerly of Mars Hill, departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Mission Hospitals-St Joseph Campus. He is the son of the late David and Marjorie Ray Briscoe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Baker and Juanita Chambers and a brother, Jerry Briscoe. Mr. Briscoe was a former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a current member of H.B. Ferguson Missionary Baptist Church. He was formerly employed with Mars Hill College and the Town of Mars Hill.

Mr. Briscoe is survived by his daughter, Tina Alexander (Darrell); sons, Billy Briscoe Jr.(Rodney L. Fuller) and Jason Briscoe (Heidi); sister, Virginia Kimborough and brothers, Eugene, Bobby and David Briscoe; grandchildren, Niconda Garcia and Nina Briscoe; great grandchildren, Kasiah Cooper, Dominick and Christian Garcia and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, August 22, 2020 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend Kevin Barnette officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family has requested everyone attending wear a mask and follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines during services.
