Billy Ray Candler, 79, of Fletcher, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. He was a son of the late Clyde and Mary Lee Edwards Candler. Billy was a native of Madison County and retired from Dunham's Music House after 40 years of employment. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Faye S. Candler; daughter, Selina Candler (Brook); son, Billy Candler; sisters, Mary Ruth Davis, Lilly Mae Davis, and Linda Ann Anders (Larry); brothers, Clyde Hugh Candler (Frieda), and Ralph Eugene Candler; grandchildren, Chanell Candler (Lee), Jaclyn Lunsford (Austin), and Dalton Lunsford; great grandchild, Lukas Wilde; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Steve Rhinehart will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service.
