Billy Denton Chambers, 61 of 264 Town Branch Rd., passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Missions Hospital – Memorial Campus. He was a native of Swain County and a son of the late Edward and Nannie Sue Chambers. Billy was employed as a security guard and a US Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Chambers, one sister, Peggy Thomas (Vincent) of Bryson City and one brother, Michael Chambers (Terri) of FL. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Revs Albert Roberts and Kenneth Crain will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 pm Wednesday prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Kenneth Morrow, 259 Town Branch Rd., Barnardsville. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, December 1, 2011 at WNC Veterans Cemetery. Mars Hill VFW Post #5483 will conduct graveside rites.
