Billy Fore, beloved husband and father, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the John F. Keever Solice Center on Sweeten Creek, after battling a long illness. He was 88. Billy was born January 17, 1927 to the late Emmitt and Mamie Rector Fore of Marshall. He was a member, deacon and trustee of the First Marshall Freewill Baptist Church for 50 years. He married the love of his life, Ruby Elizabeth Fisher on March 6, 1948. Being a lifelong resident of Madison County he was well known for his love of training horses and auto body work. He worked and owned Fore's Body Shop in Marshall for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters, Leta Mae Tanguy and Gladys Ball and brothers, Johnny, Clarence, Ralph and Alonzo. Surviving are brothers Jack and Jim and sisters Bertie and Maggie. He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Ruby Fisher Fore, four daughters Kathy Shelton (Edward), Madeline Hensley (Dexter), Debra Norton (Jerry), Becky Shipman (Randy). Six grandchildren, Lisa Shelton, Tina Shelton Ball (Pressley), Prudence Shelton (Clyde Price), Shane Norton (Melissa), Candice Davis (Scott), and Jacob Crowder (Wendy Hannah). Seven great grandchildren, Brian Greene, Dallas Shelton, Jessie Ziegler (Luke), Darian and Logan Norton, Kalli Hannah, Brayden Davis, and one great great grandchild Brooklyn Feathers. Pallbearers will be Shane Norton, Logan Norton, Jacob Crowder, Scott Davis, Pressley Ball, Brian Greene and honorary pallbearer Brayden Davis. Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Mars Hill. Visitation will be 1pm-2pm, with funeral at 2pm. The service will be officiated by Woody Dillingham and Larry Rogers. We would like to thank the doctors and staff at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center for taking extremely good care of our husband, daddy and grandfather during this difficult time. Words cannot express how thankful we are.
