Bobbie Anne Gardner Ledford, 87, of Weaverville, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late William Robert and Mary Helen Gardner. Bobbie Anne retired after 34 years of teaching in Madison and Buncombe counties and a lifelong member of Paint Fork Baptist Church. She was also a die-hard Duke fan.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie Anne is preceded in death by her husband Howell Dean Ledford, Sr.,

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Ledford (Barbara) and Howell Dean Ledford, Jr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Mary Frances Beesorchard (James) and Katie Barry (Shawn Sutherland); and great grandchildren, Anthea and Penelope Beesorchard, and Connor and Sparrow Barry.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Gardner-Gillis Cemetery. Reverend Steve Freeman will officiate.
