Bobby "Dale" Hylemon, age 71, of Fred Holcombe Rd. passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He is the son of the late Joe and Lizzie Robinson Hylemon. Dale was a retired employee with the Town of Mars Hill as the treatment plant operator.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Carter Hylemon; daughter, Lora Ponder (Tim); son, Bobby Joe Hylemon; sisters, Lucille Metcalf, Eloise Rice, Wanda Willis (V.J.) and Joanne Rice (David); grandchildren, Jennifer Maynor (Curtis) and daughter Brielle, Michael Ponder, Matthew and MiKayla Hylemon and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Upper Laurel Missionary Baptist Church, of which Dale was a member and deacon. Reverends Junior Hensley and Kevin Boone will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Tim and Michael Ponder, Curtis Maynor, Bobby Joe and Matthew Hylemon, and Mike Burnette. The family will receive friends 12:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church.
