Bobby "Bob" Eugene Stone of Mars Hill, formerly of Black Mountain, entered eternal rest on December 31, 2022, after an extended illness.

Bob was born on March 21, 1937, to the late Artie William Stone and Willabell Anderson Stone and was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Pressley, and brother, Phillip Stone.

Bob is survived by his companion of 22 years, Charlotte Jean Shope, and their beloved dog "Toby"; sister, Teresa Stone of Black Mountain; children Bob Jr. (Mara) of Fullerton California, Ken of Desert Hot Springs, California, Rick (Candee) of Monte Clair, California, Cheryl DeAvila of Lake Elsinore, California, and Sandra "Sandy" Stone of Careywood, Idaho. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family thanks the caring staff of Elderberry Health Care for the loving and compassionate care Bob received during his stay.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 4495 US Hwy 19, Mars Hill, NC.
