Boyce Willis, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 27, 2024. He was born on July 22, 1931 in Madison County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Cornelius N. Willis, Sr., and Minnie Lee Hamlin Willis.

In addition to his parents, Boyce is preceded in death by his sisters, Inez Edwards, Edith Lunsford, Edris Cassida, Orpha Demsko; and a brother C.N Willis.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Florence Gregg Willis; his son, Eric Willis (Regina); sister, Melba Payne; brother, V.J. Willis (Wanda); grandchildren, Simone Larzelere and Boden Larzelere; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Boyce was loved by all. He was a local business owner, farmer, and a collector of many things. He enjoyed antiques and bartering, trips up his mountain, raising grapes, making and providing tools, and sharing his knowledge of the land and nature. "He could do more with a hoe than anyone". He was a true outdoorsman.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Stanley Peek will officiate. A burial will follow at California Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
