Brenda (White) Ledford of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully at home on March 25,2022, at the age of 80. Brenda was born in Gastonia, N.C. to parents H.E. White and Pauline S. White. She graduated from Mars Hill High School in 1960, where she met her future husband, Jimmie (Jim) Ledford, as he was the driver of her school bus. They were married 60 years at the time of Jim's passing. Brenda was mostly a housewife, busy raising their three children, but did have several jobs over the years. After retirement, she and Jim enjoyed spending part of the year back in the mountains of NC. and the other part in Florida.

She loved Nascar and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her two sons, Steve Ledford (Trudy); Bruce Ledford (Norma); and daughter Anita Duff (Mitchell); sister Glenda Anderson and half brother Rick White. Also, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, and a granddaughter, Rachel Ledford. A celebration of life service will be held on April 23, 2022 in Florida.
