Bruce Haynes, 83, passed away on November 3, 2026. He was born on October 4, 1943, in Buncombe County to the late Wayland and Frances McIntosh Haynes.

Bruce was a land surveyor for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He and his wife took pride in making molasses every year, while they were able. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Karen Maney, and a daughter, Lindsay Haynes and brother Jerry Haynes.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa Harrod (Neil); son, Eric Haynes; sisters, Shelby Cole, Marilyn Clouse, Pat Dillingham; grandchildren, Justin Carswell, Nicholas, Trenton, Chloe, and Devin; great grandchildren, Jaylea, Tristin, Lucas and Birdie.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00pm Thursday November 5, 2026, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. A private burial will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Barnardsville.
