Carl Parker, 77, of Mars Hill, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, at Madison Health & Rehabilitation. He is the son of the late Harley and Lori Ledford Parker and a native of Yancey County. In addition to his parents, Carl is also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Parker.

Carl is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Wanda Keith Parker; sons, Brian Parker and Gordon Parker (Angie); sister, Sherri Marchese; brothers, David "Smiley" Parker and Ken Parker; grandsons, Mitchell and Kelby Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Scottie Cole, Reverend Ken Parker and Kelby Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tildon-Metcalf Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
