Carlton Gene Ward, 80, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1944 and was a son to the late Eugene and Mattie McKee Ward.

Carlton was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Walt Disney World, maintaining their golf courses, which he loved working in. He was a former little league baseball coach.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Audrey Jean Deweese Ward; sons, Bruce Allen Ward, and Michael Eugene Ward; sister, Annette Ulry; brother, Stancil Ward; and grandchildren, Bailey, Michael and Robert.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverend Larry Sprouse will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory,

Asheville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
