Carol Douglas "Doug" Anderson, 60, of Marshall, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at his residence. He proudly served in the US Army, completing three overseas tours in dedication to his country.

Doug lived in Wyoming for several years, moving back to Madison County over three years ago to be closer to his family. He was living the life he longed for; to be back with his family and friends until cancer changed his plans in January 2026.

Doug is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy Simcox;, son, Colton Anderson; parents, Jackie and Ann Lunsford; stepchildren, Jonah, Luke, and Casey; brother, Bobby Joe Arrowood (Jamie); special uncles, Rusty Pressley (Betty) and Sammy Lunsford; step granddaughter, Evangeline; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Doug enjoyed riding his Harley with family and friends and spending time in the mountains of Wyoming on horseback.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service.
