MARS HILL: Carolyn M Hagan, 78, of 447 Walker Branch Rd. passed away Saturday, February 05, 2011. She was a daughter of the late James Garfield and Mary Broyles Ford. She was also preceded by several brothers and a sister. Surviving are her husband Wilford "Bud" Hagan whom they would have been married 60 years in May, daughters; Carol Hagan and Diane Hagan Moore, sons; Dwight, Samuel and Michael Hagan and Kenneth Chandler, two sisters; Wanda Raines and Margie Howard, brother, Mack Ford, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Revs Bob Hagan and Greg Metcalf will officiate. Burial will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
