Teague
February 2, 1941 – October 16, 2025
Carolyn H. Teague, of Leicester, went to be with The Lord on October 16, 2025. She was born in Buncombe County to the late Pearl Lorine and Raymond John Hoglen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William R. Teague, her parents, as well as one brother, John Carroll Hoglen, and a son, Infant Boy Teague.
She is survived by a son, Randy (Kim), a sister, Annette Roberts (Kenneth), one brother, Rex Hoglen (Linda), and many other family members and friends.
Carolyn graduated from Leicester High School and Blanton's Business College. Her professional life consisted of duties in banking and finance for large firms as well as the independent car dealership owned by her and her husband.
Among her passions were cooking, telling jokes, traveling, and taking care of her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Mount Sheba Baptist Church for the past 32 years where she loved singing praises to her Lord!
Carolyn was compassionate in her treatment and caring demeanor towards others. Her smile, spirit, and laughter are unforgettable, and she will truly be missed by all that knew her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 12 noon until 1 :00pm, at Mt. Sheba Baptist Church with the funeral service following immediately. Rev. Steve Rhinehart and Rev. Doug Guy will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Greens at Weaverville for the excellent care they provided for her during the final months of her life.
While flowers will be welcomed and appreciated, it is suggested that contributions in memory of Carolyn Teague be made to Mt. Sheba Baptist Church 870 New Stock Rd. Weaverville, NC 28787.
