Carroll Wayne Ammons, 83, of Alexander, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He is the son of the late Bacchus and Georgia Lee Soesbee Ammons. In addition to his parents, Carroll is preceded in death by his daughter, Leashell Weido; son, Michael Ammons; two sisters, Geneva Boone and Marjorie Sprinkle; four brothers, Jim, Harold, Willard, and Luther Ammons; and grandson, Anthony Ammons. He worked as a carpenter, and several years for Madison EMS, and Sayles Biltmore Bleachery.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Reavis (Mark); sons, Greg Ammons (Amy), and Keith Ammons; grandchildren, Corey Edmonds, Stephanie Ray, Heather Whitson, Chad Williams, and Kaitlyn Ammons; great grandchildren, Nadia Edmonds, and Travis and Olivia Whitson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Brother Eddie Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
