Carroll E. Smith, 75 of John King Rd., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He was a native of Buncombe County and son of the late Zeb and Bertie Wallen Smith.

He is preceded in death by a brother, James Smith. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years and "Best friend always"; Carolyn Metcalf Smith. In addition to his wife are sisters, Margaret Church and Rose Saunders of Weaverville, brothers Robert Smith of Weaverville, Ronnie and Jackie Smith of South Carolina, also many nieces, nephews and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
