Catherine Whitt Emory, 97, of Weaverville, passed away on January 14, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 9, 1927 to the late John and Lucitta Arrington Whitt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Emory who passed away in 2014; sons, Boyd Emory and Patrick Emory; son-in-law, Robin Morris; grandson, Christopher; sisters, Dessie Higgins, Elma Lou Walker, Melda Linda Shirlen; brothers, Donald Whitt, Josephus Whitt, Kelly M. Whitt and Rubin Whitt.

Catherine was a long-time faithful member of Ivy Hill Baptist Church where she enjoyed being a secret pal. She was an amazing quilter and very passionate to share the salvation story of Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Morris; sons, Steve Emory (Judy) and Warren Emory; sister, Johnnie Shook; grandchildren, Brian, Natalie, Kellie, and Melody; great grandchildren, Trenton, Cameron, Devon, Kailey, Hudson, Jase, Jackson, Sabrina and Nathaniel.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday January 22, 2025, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverends Gary Hensley and Philip Emory will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
