Charles Junior Coffey, Sr., 67, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Rev. Anderson and Girtha Gunter Coffey. He is preceded in death by an infant brother, David Jerome Coffey, and sister-in-law, Cindy Coffey.

Charles is survived by his wife, Jackie Law Coffey; sons, Charles Coffey (Amanda) and Jeremy Coffey (Charlita); sister, Mary Ann Coffey; brothers, Ronnie and Freddie Coffey; grandchildren, Colton Coffey (Katie), Chloe Coffey (Brendon Atkins), Blake, and Peyton Coffey; great grandson, Kole Coffey; special friends, Jake & Judy Grigg, Ed & Carolyn Robinson, and Beth Thomason; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Ken Parker and Weldon Ramsey will officiate. Colton Coffey, Blake Coffey, Scotty Coffey, Dillard Rice, Duane Thomason, and Charles & Jeremy Coffey will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Grigg, Ed Robinson, and Billy Rice. Rev. Dewayne Coffey will officiate committal services at Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

At other times, the family will be at the home.
