IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Timothy
Garrett
August 16, 1975 – October 23, 2024
Charles Timothy Garrett, 49, of Hot Springs, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 23, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1975, to his parents, David and Ida Garrett.
Charles Timothy was a graduate of Madison High School, Class of 1994. He dedicated 30 years of his career to Madison Manufacture (Peerless Blowers), where his commitment and hard work were deeply appreciated. Charles served as the former Assistant Chief of the Country Volunteer Fire Department for 11 years. He was a lifelong member of Hot Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
Charles Timothy was known for his kind, hardworking, and Christ-like personality. He had a servant's heart and was willing to do anything for anybody. He graciously gave his love and respect to all those around him and expected nothing in return. He was a man of many talents and could fix just about anything.
Charles Timothy was very proud of both of his children's accomplishments. He lived for Tyler, "daddy's hero" and Tiffany, "daddy's girl". He took great pride in raising them. He taught them to be loving, kind, hardworking, and to be there for each other. He had a special relationship with each of them and their close friends. Daddy Charles was always there when you needed him to be. The children said, "We love you Daddy - a whole bunch."
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Paula Plemmons Garrett; his children, Tyler Keith Garrett ("Smiley") and Tiffany Hannah Garrett; his brother, Jason Garrett (Audreanna); nieces and nephews, Brittany Whitson (David), Brandon Chandler, Ethan Garrett, David Rutherford; great-niece, Kinsley Whitson; mother-in-law, Carolyn Plemmons; sister-in-law Billie (Alfred) Chandler, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and bonus daughter, Savannah Powers.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold and Lucy Garrett, Kenneth Brown, Edith Sullivan, and father-in-law Bill Plemmons.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service, with the family receiving friends 5-7pm Friday, and 12-1pm Saturday. Reverends Mickey Church and Randy Wood will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
