Christine Presnell Sargent, age 79, of Marshall, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. She was born in Madison County to the late Austin and Stella Rice Presnell.

Christine loved to go shop at the Goodwill stores and was known as the Goodwill Queen.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Rector; a son, Harley Rector; three sisters, Geneva, Jessie May, and Clementine; brothers, Reece, Mack and Grover.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Dupree, Sheila Boyd, Chanda Sargent, and Angela Sargent; son Greg Rector; sisters, Ruby and Bernice; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 27, 2024 at 4:00 pm in NB First Church of God, Weaverville.
