Cindy Lankford Coffey, a loving wife, daughter, sister, and proud mother and Nene/Nini, 52, of Weaverville, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021. She is the daughter of Rita Sluder Lankford and the late Randolph Lankford and a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. In addition to her father, Cindy is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Patricia Brackens Coffey. She is a member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church and attended Brown's Chapel. Cindy was a 1986 graduate of North Buncombe High School and employed with OceanX.

In addition to her mother, Cindy is survived by her husband and love of her life of 35 years, Rodney Coffey; sons, Myron Coffey and wife Brittany and Justin Coffey and wife Melissa; sisters, Beverly Parker and Emilee Loewecke and husband Randy; her "birds" Tye, Brooklyn, Bentley, Addison, Emery, and Brady Coffey; father-in-law, Leonard Coffey; brother-in-law, Dewayne Coffey (Wanda); nieces and nephews, Katie, Zack, Bobby, Tim, Brandon, and Crystal; and great niece, Olivia.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church. Reverends Phillip Wilson and Luther Spivey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Cindy loved glamping, going to the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her "birds".

Her biggest enjoyment was taking her children and grandchildren to church.
