Claude Allison Cody, 94 of 9480 Grapevine Rd., Marshall, passed away, December 6, 2014. Mr. Cody was the son of the late C.W. "Capp" Cody and Florence Waldroup Cody Fender. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth English Cody; daughters in law, Marie and Shirley Cody and a son in law Darol Arrington. Mr. Cody attended Laurel Bend Baptist Church. Claude is survived by sons, Dedrick, Maynard, Vardon (Diane), Parker (Pat) and Mark Cody (Pamela); daughters, Maxine Arrington, Claudell Cody (Billy); sixteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Mr. Cody's funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, December 9, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Cline Hensley Jr. and Jerry Shelton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00pm, Monday December 8, at the funeral home.
