Clifton Rans Melrose, age 66, passed away on July 18, 2024. He was born on August 28, 1957, in Buncombe County to the late Clifford and Frances Harwood Melrose.

Clifton was a Brick Mason and worked in construction most of his life. He was a member of Victory Fellowship Center and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Clifton loved spending time with his family and will be missed very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Danielle Jackie Melrose, and a brother, James Melrose.

Clifton is survived by his wife, Diann Anderson Melrose; daughters, Donnia Branks (Scottie), Monica Knighten (Jamie), and Jamie Poole; sisters, Mary Davis and Susan Bremer; brothers, Joe Melrose (Tammy), Jerry "Curly" Melrose (Rhonda), and John Melrose (Zabrina); seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday July 28, 2024, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
