Connie Pickens Helms

On October 24, 2023 God's plan for Connie here on earth was complete. Today Connie is in the hands of a loving God where she will forever be happy and at peace. Connie was born February 12, 1965 to Phil and Melba Pickens of Weaverville. She was a graduate of North Buncombe High School and was a member of Liberty Covenant Church in Micaville NC, and also a member of the Electa Chapter #228 Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Andrew Helms and his father, Dean Helms; brother Phillip Pickens (Rebecca); and special friends, Carol Swayngim and Rhonda Wilson, who was her caregiver.

A Celebration of Life service for Connie will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Feed a Child Organization of which she was a supporter at 151 Laurel Heights, Burnsville, NC 28714.
