Connie Lee Baker Howell, 64, of Leicester, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Lillian Sposky Baker and a native of Wyandotte, MI, having lived most of her life in North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Frank Baker.
Connie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Sidney Howell Sr.; daughters, Shae Howell, Katherine Howell, Laura Borowski (Steven), and Marleen Witter (Daniel); sons, Sidney Howell Jr. (Etsuko), and Spencer Howell; sisters, Bonnie Kahn and Tammy Baker (Renee); brother, Lenny Baker; sister-in-law, Alice Baker; grandchildren, Christopher and Daniel West, Ethan and Kaitlyn Caldwell, Kai Howell, Kyah Witter, Avery Crowe, and Maya Witter; great grandson, Kason Thorpe; special nephew, Ed Kahn (Amy), and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11am, Tuesday October 7, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Dustin Dye will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie's memory to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 91 Monticello Rd. Weaverville, NC 28787.
Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
