In Loving Memory

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cindy Hollifield Thom. She departed this world to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

A devoted kindergarten teacher, she touched the lives of countless young minds with her love for them and her love for Jesus.

Beyond the classroom, Cindy had a passion for antique shopping, finding beauty in the stories of the past. Her eyes would light up as she explored hidden treasures, each piece holding a special place in her heart.

Fishing was another joy that brought her closer to nature, creating cherished memories with her family by the water's edge. Cindy embraced life with a warmth that radiated to all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.

As we mourn her physical absence, we find solace in the memories of a woman whose love and laughter enriched our lives. In the embrace of Jesus, may she find eternal peace.

Cindy was born on September 9, 1968, in Buncombe County.

She is preceded in death by her mother Katherine Hensley Wolfe.

Cindy is survived by her husband; Philip Thom, father; Luther Wolfe, son; Austin Hollifield (Maddie), stepchildren; Brian Thom and Katelynn Diehl (Josh), sisters; Teresa Lewis and Brenda Hall (Brian), brother; Andy Wolfe (Heidi), grandchildren; Gatlin and Cole, nieces and nephews; Brandon Ledford, Kyle Ledford, Dawson Wolfe, Brendon "Boo Boo" Hall, and Anzley "Cupcake" Wolfe.

Rest in peace, dear Cindy. Your legacy of love will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on November 24, 2023 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Robert Reynolds and Rev. Bob Hagan will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service.
