Danny James Payne, age 71, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday August 23, 2023. He was born on August 8, 1952, in Madison County. Danny was a son of Ceceila Marie Cody Cutshall and the late Ernest Ray Payne. He worked for Southern Concrete.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Payne.

Danny is survived by his wife Farrah Long Payne; daughter, Zabrina Melrose (John); sons, Derrick Payne, and Danny Payne; brother, Ray Payne; grandchildren, Candis Parham (Matt), Carma Payne, Amy Robinson (Stephanie), Haven, Christian, Cody, Billy and Leshae Maltry, Brennan Anders, and Britany Melrose; and several great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday September 2, 2023, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Pastor Ronald Dodson will officiate.
