Daphne Roberson Hodges, age 55, of Weaverville, NC, passed away Thursday April 27, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born May 21, 1967, in Rockingham County.

Daphne was a very dedicated wife to Steve and together they raised 8 children. She took delight in faithfully training her children to know and love the Lord and in homeschooling them. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping and picnics with family. Daphne also enjoyed photography and creating photo scrapbooks for her children. She was sustained through many difficulties by her deep faith in Jesus Christ and attended North Point Baptist Church with her family as long as she was able.

She is survived by her mother, Glenda Helms (Lacy); father, Garry Roberson (Pat); husband, Steve Hodges; daughters, Emily Dillingham (Justin), Stephne Booty (Carson), Chloe, and Jamie Hodges; sons, Ben Hodges, Malachi Hodges (Anna), Enoch and Nathan Hodges; sisters Donna Roberson Chavis, and Tara Burgess (Chris); 5 grandchildren, Alistair, Zebulon, Daisy, Olivia, and Titus.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday May 4, 2023, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Johnny Byrd will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
