Dave Metcalf, 73, of Culvin Creek Road, passed away at this home, Wednesday, June 18, 2019. He is the son of the late Lewis Metcalf and Sylvia Norton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Mitchell Metcalf. Dave was a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Culvin Creek Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Marie Metcalf; son, Olen Metcalf; sisters, Robena Shelton, Lenda Cutshaw (Ricky), and Amy Duncan (Junie); brothers, Matt Metcalf (Charlotte), Mike Metcalf (Ella Mae) and Gene Metcalf (Janice) and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Culvin Creek Community Church. Reverends Sam Adams and Jason Shelton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Spillcorn Community Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:00PM Thursday until time of the service.
