David Chandler, age 75, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Elbert County, Georgia. David was born to the late Lewis E. and Ada Ponder Chandler on November 25, 1945, in Buncombe County, NC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Phil and L C Chandler.

David is survived by his daughter, Angela Chandler; sister, Ruth Hudson; brothers, Dwight Chandler (Annette), Ronnie Chandler (Shirley); sisters-in-law, Betty Chandler and Deborah Chandler; special nephew, Aaron Brigmon all of Weaverville; friend and companion, Patty Balchin of Elberton, GA; and her sisters and brothers-in-law; Jane Glidewell (Joe), Fran Hendley (James) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

David was a Christian of the baptist denomination, having been saved at an early age. When in Elberton, he attended Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He was quick to give God credit for his many blessings in life.

David was an independent trucker for over fifty years, completing his last haul in November 2020. One of his greatest joys was spending time and working on his farm near Weaverville, NC. He was an adventurous soul and enjoyed traveling and visiting new places. David will be remembered as a loyal friend and man of his word.

A graveside service will be held at 6:00PM Thursday, August 26, 2021, in Buckner Elkins Cemetery, Weaverville, NC.
