David Kent Ramsey, 81, passed away on March 14, 2025. He was born on August 16,1943 in Madison County to the late Raymond and Ida Kent Ramsey. He served as the Madison County's first Manager and he later retired from CP&L, which is now known as Duke Energy.

He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Tommy

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Ramsey; stepsons Bobby (Jenny) and Chris (Beth) Norton; prized grandsons, Justin Norton and Tyler Norton; grandchildren, Mariah, Zackary, Maleigha, Ava, Mya; son, Michael (Kim); daughter, Jennifer; granddaughter, Mikayla; sister, Janis Clark; nieces, Denise Powell, Courtney Davis and Donna Ware.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service.
