David Britt Williams, 71, of Weaverville, passed away at home with his family by his side, on Monday, October 27, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the son of the late Britt and Juanita Delores Lloyd Williams.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Nash, a brother, Bruce Williams, father-in-law, Eugene DeHart, and special niece, Heather Foster.

David worked in the medical field for over 38 years as a psych technician. He was kind and compassionate to his patients and loved helping people in need. He was a huge Sci-Fi fan and especially loved Star Trek and Star Wars. David loved his wife, who was his love and called his butterfly. His pride and joy were his twin daughters, who he was so proud of and loved with all his heart.

David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gail DeHart Williams; daughters, Amber Renee and Brittany Taylor Williams; sister, Jeannette Williams; brother, Calven Williams (Leah); mother-in-law, Edith Mae DeHart; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Reverend Raymond Cantrell will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
